Powerhouse Factories is a group of designers, printmakers, and multi-discipline artists whose goal is to bring art to the masses. Functioning as a design firm and print shop, Powerhouse began in 2004, in a restored 19th Century building in Covington, Kentucky where they worked, lived, and played. The screen-printed propaganda art they had experimented with in college became the basis for their work at Powerhouse.

The gig poster scene has been inspirational and supportive for them—both as businesspersons and artists. They use it as a creative outlet—it keeps their ideas fresh and provides a contrast from the daily corporate design work.
